Founder and Advocate for Aquidneck IEP

I’m a mom, an advocate, an ADHD-er, and I’m a firm believer in building relationships and using effective communication to find a way forward.

I have spend over a decade advocating for my own child with exceptionalities. I have spent these years navigating Early Intervention, Medicaid and Katie Beckett, employer sponsored health insurance, and Individual Education Plans (special education). I have also coordinated with multiple service providers and school teams. Along the way I have gained knowledge of commonly used evaluations and comprehending the results.

I have spend the last 10 years voraciously consuming everything I could find about my own child’s diagnoses and how to work within the systems that don’t always work for us.  I want to bring that same passion and tenacity to work for you.

I believe in direct and collaborative communication between families and school teams. I believe in accountability. As educators, parents, and advocates our collective job is to ensure we are operating in the best interest of the student. I believe in working as team to improve educational outcomes.
